Master essential boat handling skills through practical training, including manoeuvres, emergency drills, and docking.
Receive a Statement of Competency upon course completion, then visit a Transport and Motoring Service Centre to obtain your official licence.

The minimum age to hold a licence is 16; however, you can do the course at 15 and a half and then take your completed statement of competency to be endorsed the day you turn 16. Remember also that you need a current boat licence before obtaining the jet ski licence.
The practical is undertaken on the Mooloolah River. Participants will meet at Charles Clarke Park, 13-47 River Esplanade, Mooloolaba QLD 4557.
Once competent, we will issue you with a Statement of Competency (SOC). Present this to TMR (Transport and Main Roads QLD) within six months, pay their fee, and you’re licensed.
