The minimum age to hold a licence is 16. However, you can complete the course at 15 and a half and have your statement of competency endorsed on your 16th birthday.
Yes , you do not have to pay any more to attend the practical session. If you are unsucessful on your theory or practical assessment you will be given the option to attend another assessment for free at a later date.
No, you must hold a valid boat licence (Recreational Marine Driver Licence) before obtaining a jet ski (Personal Watercraft) licence in Queensland.
The online theory can typically be completed in one evening, though this varies by individual. The practical session duration depends on class size and participant ability, but we keep groups small (maximum 4) for an enjoyable experience.
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Competency (SoC). You must present this at a Transport and Motoring Service Centre within 6 months to obtain your official licence. Please note, the SoC is not a valid licence for operating a boat or jet ski.
